About Us

The John Howard Society of Greater Moncton Inc. is a non-profit community-based agency in the field of correctional services located in Moncton, New Brunswick. The staff and Board of Directors have a solid history of providing quality work in the counties of Kent, Westmorland, and Albert, and are committed to continue providing professional, relevant services to clients in the area.

The agency’s long time Executive Director, Joanne L. Murray, has developed, facilitated, supervised, quality-controlled, and negotiated and managed contracts for almost two dozen community-based treatment and education programs for people in the criminal justice system. The agency has been involved in program and project design and delivery, research of promising practices for dealing key issues in the field, education-based product development and marketing, community awareness and education, and volunteer development. We are able to provide a broad range of services, with an emphasis on collaborative approaches to dealing with the root causes of crime.
